Emergency Closing Information

Here is a list of resources to use in case PREP is closed due to emergency weather conditions: 
  1. Access the Parish website at www.stteresacalcutta.com and click on P.R.E.P. A snowflake on the page will indicate that classes have been cancelled for that day. 

  2. The STC P.R.E.P. closing broadcast number (2421) will be announced on KYW News radio 1060 am. 

  3. The STC P.R.E.P. closing broadcast number (2421) will also be included on the following websites: www.kywschools.com and CBSPhilly.com/schools. 

  4. The name of our religious education program will be scrolled across the bottom of the television screen on CBS 3 Eyewitness News and CW Philly 57. 

  5. Parents can sign up for text and/or phone notification at CBSPhilly.com/mobile to get an immediate message about P.R.E.P. closings. Here are the directions: 
  • Go to http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/mobile/
  • Click the School Closing Text and Email Alerts Link
  • Register your information
  • Enter your cell phone and other information
  • Confirm your cell phone with the code you’ll receive in a text message to your phone.
  • Once confirmed you should be at your profile page, click on the School Closings Link.
  • Find the County of our Parish religious education program (Montgomery) and click Edit.
  • Check the box next to Saint Teresa of Calcutta Religious Education (Be careful to choose Religious Education and not the STC school which is also listed)
  • Scroll to the bottom and click Save Changes.
  •  The following information is posted on the website regarding text/phone notification: “Please note that your carrier’s standard text charges will apply for any messages sent and received to your phone. You can opt out at any time by returning to the site, or by replying with CBS Philly STOP to any of your received text messages.”
